Slow cooker cakes are amazing, they come out moist and delicious every time.
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Dust with icing sugar or serve with a chocolate glaze icing.
Spray a large slow cooker with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla until well combined. Whisk in the boiling water.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix well.
Pour the cake batter into the greased slow cooker.
Set slow cooker to “Low”. Cook for about 3 hours or until the cake has no wet spots on top and has pulled away from the sides of the crock pot.
Turn off the slow cooker and allow the cake to rest for 30 minutes or more before transferring to a plate, drizzle with chocolate icing or dust with icing sugar and enjoy.
