Hi Bry, so glad you have better weather to look forward to.  I remember some years ago you like the following tune and hope it brings back many fond memories. There have been takes of it, but I chose this. I’m not a fighter/I’m a lover, so who ever perceives as such other,  Im’ fine with that.  This Country is far too large without worrying about the the upstarts!  You take care now:

Don021,  that’s great Don… you will no be doubt planing your garden shortly as I seem to remember you like  the flowers etc?  Its hard keeping up here with everyone in NZ and here! haha I’m only one women! lol

We are very quick to blame tourists for many of the problems on New Zealand roads but a quick read of the following links shows that we ourselves seem to be causing many of the accidents on our roads.

Thank you for the kind thoughts!! Some 25 years ago I asked a Cardiology Registrar for a “straight up” prognosis and was told I have what I have, nothing can be done but manage things as they come along But with luck I should last out to 80 or so. Well I am now on borrowed time, Every day passed last Saturday is a bonus!! 😎

😥 My internet and home telephone went on the blink so I rang my supplier to be told we will give it until tomorrow to see if it comes right overnight, but I will ring you at 4pm tomorrow to check, you will be avaiable at home tomorrow at 4pm for my call wont you, yes I will make sure I will be home and available.
I am home at 3pm, but 4pm comes and goes so I hang around close to my mobile, at 6.15pm I finally get the call, and no my phone is not working, I am asked to disconnect the phone jack and reconnect it, is your Wi-Fi working, yes will you please disconnect it, now reconnect it.
The provider tells me there is a fault!!!! I will send the technical person out
to fix it,it maybe tomorrow or thursday and you will need to be home, I said I
could be home either day after 2pm, yes that is fine by me so he arranges after
    2pm tomorrow being wednesday.
I have a morning tea booked for wednesday morning at 10.30am a half hours drive away and am just about to leave when my front door bell is rung, guess who! the
man is here to fix the telephone and internet, but I said you are not due until 2pm, yes that is correct but can I come in to do the Job? Of course I let him in, it took him about 45 mins to find and fix the fault that was between the post connection and my house, he kindly told me there would be no charge today. In the meantime I had sent a text to my friends advising them I would not be attending.

Nice job in the end Christine .We have had those post connection to the house problems too, when going to 4G ,,so happy its all resolved now,,, and a few hrs earlier than you thought .

Hope morning tea can come tomorrow maybe???

Its amazing when you can be available for cancelled appts etc for tradies how things eventually fall in to place .

We had similar recently when we needed an upgraded system ,,and were told would be the next week and about a 2 to 3 hr job..

However the day we happened to be home, the tradie rang who couldnt do his outdoor jobs,, due to heavy rain ,,,,could I come in 15 mins ??? Sure can..

Was fab cos DH was here and showed him the new system go to whoa so everyone was happy .

Even saved about $270 (usual fee) cos we were loyal customers to the telco ..

Happy customers mean better businesses ..

    Cheers From Kai

PS Bryan you are only as old as you feel and while the medics are really skilled ,they admit that it all depends on how strong our hearts are .

You and Mrs Bryan still have 2 hearts happy together ..

    Cheers From Kai

Today I attended Age Concern meeting and we were entertained by a very good guitar player and vocalist, a morning of great old music that, unlike so much modern “noise”, has a tune. It was good to sing along. I weatch singers on TV and the expression on their faces makes me believe they are in pain. This opinion is confirmed when I hear them.

“Hardly what I would call good service and something that is happening more & more often”. Something that annoy’s me is when we get a letter from the local DHB Outpatients (or other public service) to say that they have made an appointment at a time & place. It clearly states that failure to keep the appointment may result in us going to the bottom of the list and emphasising that the Doctors time is expensive and important. I feel like writing back and telling them that MY time is expensive and important too! But we both know the result if I was to do so! The bureaucrats of the world are getting more and more full of their own self importance!
