He definitely was SG, & a very interesting chap who’d experienced some tough times along the way.

“The focal point of all reforms should be human liberation, and the respect for human value and human rights. The free development of each individual is the basis for all social progress.”

    Xu Wenli

“To see heaven in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
    And eternity in an hour.”

    William Blake

“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ”

    Stephen Grellet

“I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.”

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

“Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.”

“In the present circumstances, no one can afford to assume that someone else will solve their problems. Each one of us has a responsibility to help guide our global family in the right direction. Good wishes are not sufficient; we must become actively engaged.”

“Just as we should cultivate more gentle and peaceful relations with our fellow human beings, we should also extend that same kind of attitude towards the natural environment. Morally speaking, we should be concerned for our whole environment.”

Housing  and  poverty  biggest  concerns  for  Kiwis  –

a headline  in todays  (5/5/18) Weekend Herald, page  A9.

So what  can  be  done  on the  basis  of  Dalai Lama’s  wisdom, that “in the  present  circumstances, no one  can assume that  someone else will  solve  their  problems…….”

We must  all  participate  in the effort  towards  adequate  housing and wealth  ownership  creation.

Thanks  supergold, but  what else can I be expected to  do,  than “spread the  light” that  has  helped me and  family and friends, and  try  to  have  more  people  “spreading it”  for  some  stable, majority supported constructive  action  to  gain  momentum ?
