I suppose I could relate to many of these strengths. Have not been able to totally move on over a particular facet of my childhood which comes back to haunt on occasions and I do harbour resentments, or else it would be forgotten, surely. It only takes a similar story to bring it all on again. I am fairly good about adversity and I think I have courage. I had a story posted with the title I Survived My Husbands Illness. Writing it down has let me put it away with gratitude that I was able to endure.

Joybel, I found that the writin down method is great for most things. there is one period in my life tho’ that it has not enabled me to put it behind me, and it involves heart break. it happened many many years ago, and at that time i did not go through the normal grief period, so it came back to haunt me later. I still have the written page full about it, but I can’t even read it now. I will face that again later, when I feel the strength to do it.

13 To be able to offer advise in such a manner that the person to which it was offered doesn’t feel they HAVE to accept it.

    I have a different take on Bryan’s number 13…
“To be able to offer advice in such a manner that the person to whom it was offered believes it was THEIR OWN idea. ”
When I can do that, I feel really great!! 🙂

    And two more to add…
14 To have an open mind and never stop learning.
15 Being able to achieve things that other people said I couldn’t do (that’s my favourite!)

Oh my goodness me. Its a halo everyone should have, I see. Can we really know our strengths unless they are tested? I hope I have the strength to endure what ever adversity comes my way, to give to my neighbour unconditionly and to accept humbly any help that comes to me when I need it.I want to be strong enough to defend that which I know is good and repel that which is harmful to me and those I love dearly. Strength comes unexpectedly when we are at our lowest ebb. Even the strongest may quail in times of dire need. My instincts often tell me where I need to show that I can be strong even when I am not feeling all that confident.
