Very sorry to hear that, DrL. No wonder you have been in such pain. Are you still on Prednisone?#1665943drlivingstone February 4, 2018 at 2:44 pm
vale019 The dose is now down to 12.5 till February 15th because of polymyalgia The spondylosis is affecting my mobility in left leg with pain & stiffness but down to see Doctor later next week so we,ll have to see what happens.Appreciating stretching exercises and moving around. but hard to sit.

Now seeing locum on Wednesday as difficulty getting out of bed and mobility and pain in left leg got worse. Have increased pain medication and resorted to Wheatie Bags to ease stiffness and pain. Seems to be working

valeo19 Had a setback or three on February 17th. Pain medication has not been adequate and had to call St John on Monday night. They reviewed my GPs medication and still not enough.Recommended staying home Just back from difficult visit with borrowed wheelchair to my GP to have another examination & to put in place a better pain management plan I,ll be rattling with all the pills GP Had to print separate instruction sheet.GP is to refer me to muscoskeletal Unit @DHB.We are picking up a light hire wheelchair in the morning.as I can,t stand upright.Muscle spasms not helpful nor getting in and out of bed Cheers : .Have a cocktail of drugs from paracetomol, codeine, ibuprofen to diazepam, laxsol, and orphenadrine over a day.And the side effects are?

Was diagnosed with spondylosis in lower back and no painkillers etc seemed to work but had Gabapentin prescribed for another problem which involved nerve inflammation and it has certainly helped with the back also. Some people find the side effects a problem but about 65% of people find it successful.

I had gaberpentin prescribed ….300mg tablets. Told to increase 300mgs every week to help the pain. At 900mgs the side effects were so bad I had to stop them and they did nothing for the pain
I have peripheral neuropathy and if anyone has found anything to help the pain with that please let me know!
