FGS Jens here you go again. You just never give up.

We are not the problem & I personally do not want to hear your theory ever again. Take your soapbox and stand on the street but leave us alone.

Most of us have done our best in raising a family. My children, grandchildren, now my older great-grandchildren know how careful I am with my money. If they do not take note of the fact that there have been no handouts in my life prior to retirement, then there is nothing more I can do to educate them. Largely they seem to be successful  & to understand the hard work & saving idea.

So leave us in peace to enjoy what is left of our retirement. We are not children & you are not our teacher. Please do as Bryan requested earlier today  !!!!!

huiatahi, I am certainly on your side with a great dislike of credit cards, I have never had one and never will because they increase the cost of goods, something we can do without. It is difficult, nay inpossible, to barter with a credit card, not so with cash.

“I (gabyone) am all right, Jack”

The others are not my responsibility,  are they? Don’t  bother me to think about it and  comment on the sense  or nonsense of  your  propositions and  questions!

Well gabyone –  if my questions  get  answered with evidence and not just  debatable  opinion  and  taste, we could have interesting  conversations,  but if the  subject matter is really  too boring and  childish  for  you,  why not  just ignore it with a laugh instead of  getting  unfriendly  about it ?

Are you really not  concerned  about the idea that  printing money  would  solve  any  economic problem there is in a sustainable  way ?

Jens, How dare you suggest that I am a ” I’m all right Jack”. ???

I have given 27 + years to Volunteer work assisting the very people you simply rabbit on about, as “have nots” .  I actually took unpaid time off my paid work to do that Jens, for many of those years, including years as a widow struggling to save for my retirement.

There is absolutely no point to any discussions with you.

So sorry people for lifting the lid off that can of worms! I should have known I had no chance of shutting him up. I should have known that even after 10 years he still hasn’t learned when enough is enough. So sorry!

    Dear  gabyone.

Let us respect each other in the assumption that we all only try  to do  and  believe  in the  best for  all and ourselves, and instead of getting  upset  over different  views on that, let us  examine it all  in calm impartiality.

Herewith  full respect and appreciation of all the  responsible and  good  works  you  have  done in the traditional manner.

You –  in principle   the  same  as the wealthiest substantial contributors to charity  and all  our  Social Democratic welfare  governments – have  helped to alleviate poverty  for a long time –  and  feel  good about having  done the  right   thing – but has it really  eliminated  poverty ?

Matter of fact, have we  not ample evidence already,  that  more  guaranteed  charity  actually relaxes people into  increasingly relying on it  and thus  encourage  the  spread of even more  poverty to be  alleviated ?

Please  think about it  and  let us know  whether that  looks  like  truth or nonsense, and  why ?

Perhaps  we  should ask the  help of our  apostle of truth  halcyon  to clarify that ?

    Oh dear how sad.
The usual suspects have plenty to fire when it suits, but as Clive Dunn often said “They don’t like it up ’em.”
Few other things come to mind: glasshouses, pots, kettles.

No need to be sorry jens, no one else is when they’re clearly in the wrong.

    Not your fault Brian.

You are not responsible for Jens’ compete disregard for the wishes of others.

I have to say that your ‘piss off’ comment was completely in line with my thinking and I presume, the thinking of the vast majority of people on here,

Jens has no regard for the feeling of the majority and is therefore no friend of democracy.

Then perhaps,Mommabear YOU could discuss the subject with Jens.  I strongly suspect though, that you won’t.
