MB   only you would insist in bringing party politics into the horrible events of the terrorism in  Christchurch. Even your leader tells you to drop the division between us in  putting party politics aside and as a united front as we New Zealanders stand together and  condemn  together the terrorist action of the Australian terrorist  in the killing of 49 Muslims in Christchurch.

Shame on you !!! Mommabear !!

I have to commend our P.M. for asserting the gunlaws will be changed, why anyone should be permitted to own an automatic, or semi automatic weapon, is beyond me, we should have learned from the American way, allow people to own terrorist weapons and terror will follow.I offer condolances to all affected by this act of terror, unbelievable in my country.

paulinem, it was you who brought politics into the conversation. But as is natural you complain when I do the same.

I think that Ardern’s off the hoof policy announcements “Gun laws will change” and “The government will respond swiftly” are very premature and could prejudice the outcome of investigations.

If ever there was a time for a discussion committee with real expertise, this is it. Amass the experts, gather all the information, let the inevitable inquiries run their course, and then make sound and well-considered decisions.

Over the course of several hours and still continuing, my husband and I have been praying for the victims, their families, the caregivers of many descriptions, the public of Christchurch and the shooters.
It’s not unlike the horrors of 911, Manchester, London and Paris tragedies plus many other shootings in USA.

By the way paulinem, I have but one leader, Jesus Christ Our Lord And Saviour.

Hello Kai, I contacted Ocker and he said “Crikey Its still real scary here. My road is still blocked off turnin in to Linwood Ave. When I wanted to go to Eastgate Mall, people recon even the Mall was closed — its so sad , how can this happen.”

When asked about Joybel, he hasn’t spoken to her but said “Joybel is Ok I think — but will be locked in.  She lives just a few yards away from the Linwood Mosque.”

Hope this helps to set your mind at rest a little.

One would think living close to a church or mosque would be ideal and safe.

    Do hope you’re ok Joybel.

Then you are saying that we should not interfere with any Belief that could lead to or sow the seeds to violence, I enjoy colorful and expressive cultures such as the Lantern festival or Dhauli. not ones that promote violence and intimidation in every expression.

NO. I AM saying for pity’s sake, have the intelligence & sensitivity to give it a rest just for a day or so until people have a bit of a chance to recover, especially in light of some of your past posts

I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
