Oh – you are all so very kind. Thank you for your sympathy & best wishes.
You are so right Huiatahi – you never expect your children to go before you.
Doc- that must have been so hard for you, I imagine your boy must have been fairly young when you lost him and that must have been so hard to come to terms with.
Supergold, that is such a beautiful card, thank you so much. I will always treasure it.
Dear Kai, you are right – at the moment I have to keep telling myself that he is now at peace. Your card is lovely Kai, I will keep it always.
Once again, thanks to all of you, your kind remarks help toward the healing. Hugs all.September 21, 2017 at 9:05 pm #1643112

Dear Loyal, thank you so much, especially for the hug, I needed that.
Bryan, thank you so much for your kind thoughts.
To each & everyone of you – my heartfelt thanks. Even though we have never met, and sadly probably never will, I will never forget your kindness & warmth.September 22, 2017 at 3:56 pm #1643219

Maple Glen Garden, Wyndham, Southland – Posted: 21 Sep 2017 04:21 AM PDT
“I’m currently out of Christchurch (down south), and today I took the opportunity to visit Maple Glen – a wonderful private garden that is open to the public. It’s located near the small town of Wyndham – not far from Mataura. It’s an amazing garden, and I’m so pleased that anyone can visit, as it’s a truly special place. If you find yourself in Southland, I encourage you to visit, you won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure! And if you are a bird lover, you are in for a treat!”

I’m not sure if this is the appropriate thread but I think it is of human interest.
There have been some posts over the past few days about death and low and behold we got a phone call to let us know my Brother-In-Law passed away during the night Yesterday. His wife was away and when he didn’t show his face in the morning someone went to check on him and found him in bed dead.
While it’s a shock to all, especially his wife, I cannot think of a better way to go. I do know that that is my choice. The thing about this though is that it makes one think about one’s own mortality! We all know that we are going to go sometime and that day gets one day closer every time we change the date on the calendar, it just seems to always be someone else. Why I don’t know as I have been living on borrowed time for “Years”, my Dr tells me I’m his most interesting case, my reply to him was “I Don’t Want to be “Interesting” I want to be well!”
Oh well we can’t always have what we want can we. Reminds me of the song that goes “Everyone wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die.”
Well, thanks for putting up with my rant……… Just me feeling sorry for myself…. Again
