Hi. I’m 44 and have been having irregular cycles for the last four months. This time my cycle came on day 23 and it is lasting 9 days. Do you think I should book in to see a doctor? I’m getting concerned. I wondered what other women have experienced.
It would be wise to see your doctor, just to put your mind at rest. It all sounds perfectly normal but you may be advised to continue with any contraceptive measures until you are completely through menopause. And that varies too.
One woman’s menopause can be totally different from the next woman’s so you can’t really go by what happens to others.
Some have hot flushes, some never do and so on. You are an individual. 🙂 🙂
By the way, sage (the ordinary herb bought at the supermarket) or sage capsules is good for hot flashes. Make the dried herb into a tea and drink – sweetened if you wish. Also good if you perspire a lot in summer.
