the donut economy make so much common sense the ideas within it are the only way we will pull back from the abyss  the human race faces .Infinite growth is unsustainable and consumerism is destructive.Due to illness i have had a lot of time on my hands ,so i chose to become informed about economics in NZ which involved political history  and the birth of the ROCK STAR ECONOMY or neo liberalism according to roger lol.I am no expert on any of these subjects but what i read lead me further down a rabbit hole as to what is really happening in our beautiful  land and the spaceship we call earth and my  grandchildren  what will be my legacy i ask myself.i was reading the local paper and saw an add for  public meeting with the MP for my district.i was curious to see if he had any answer of my questions .what i saw nearly bought me to tears i saw a small group of people who truly wanted to help the community they lived not getting the help they needed i saw people that needed help with there health but couldn’t get it .people struggling with profound personal trauma .a politician under siege all these people deserved to be in the middle of the donut.change is needed and needed now Kate Raworth  is the torch bearer

Yes i agree Tony . Greta Thunberg is doing a great job as well with her awakening of the European political community, but so far the politicians are supplying empty affirmations but little action. I feel that Greta’s emphasis on the Paris accord as a measure of their performance is treat.

For NZ I feel that the statements of our Govt are great but I’m disappointed that we don’t have measurable targets with time frames. I hope that will come shortly.

We need to start taxing carbon emissions to relive the load on the low income NZ’ers so they can live less stressed lives. The EMTS is really another stockmarket for the gamblers to game. it’a time it was scrapped and taxes imposed so that there is certainty involved in next years costs relating to fuel and other emissions like methane.
