I too am looking forward to the Europe Tour in May, this has been on my Bucket List for years, have never been to Europe before, bit apprehensive actually, already thinking about what clothes I should pack, and wish I could see last years photos again to see what they were wearing.#901895carol52 January 31, 2014 at 11:43 am
Hi Stormy weather. I think we can plan for Warm weather,I checked out Dubai for May and that will be HOT. We have to plan ahead as there wont be summer clothes in our shops in May.I have just purchased some new compression socks for the flights and am looking at pacsafe anti-theft travel handbags/day packs. Also have to renew my passport. I believe Dubai is always hot, but because it’s basically Spring in London and Europe, could be a bit cooler, but according to Google a bit like the temperatures we have been getting up here in Auckland, ie between 20-25 degrees, which will be really nice, but take a warm cardy for the evenings.
I have already renewed my passport, this one only lasts for 5 years, oh well cést la vie! Can’t wait! Robynne.#901899lind84244 March 20, 2014 at 9:54 pm
Hi all, Lindsey Dawson here – your tour host. Hope you received my email today. Only about 8 weeks until we take off! I know it’ll be a great adventure – am really looking forward to meeting you all. By the way, I’ve just stumbled over Kevin McLeod’s Grand Tour, which is currently running on the Living channel. So if you have SKY, make Thursday night, 9.30, appointment viewing. Kevin’s showing so much of what we’ll be seeing. Sigh! You can get it as a DVD set too to watch at your leisure. ‘Bye for now – we’ll be in touch again soon.#901901JetSetter2014MemberMember since: March 21, 2014

Hi Carleen here;)
I will be probably one of the youngest on the tour but will be looking forward to the adventure ahead with like minded people. Bags are packed just sorting out the small details of the trip like insurance> 😯
Anyone recommend a company? 🙄
Also Lindsey:D wondering if the hotels we stay at will offer free wifi? or are there free wifi hot spots you can find out for us? Carleen.#901903lind84244 March 21, 2014 at 5:54 pm
Hi Carleen, Great to meet you. It’ll be lovely to have you along. Bags packed already? Now THAT’s impressive. 🙂
Ah, free wifi, every travellers’ dream! I’ll ask Globus, but they have told me their coaches are all wireless-equipped so we should be able to email and text to our heart’s content while on the road. As for hotels, my experience is that you usually have to pay a fee for in-room wireless but it’s often free in lobby areas. When I know more I’ll come back in here with more info.
Meanwhile, have a great weekend. Cheers, Lindsey#901905carol52 March 22, 2014 at 4:52 pm

Hi Carlee, Lindsay and Carol, OMG, packed already, and I thought I was the only one who did that, although I’m not packed as yet. But I have been waking up at 2am some nights and worrying about the clothes I need to take, Maybe I should get my suitcase out and put clothes in and take them out again just to put my mind at rest and get back to sleep. Looking forward to the trip, only about 8 weeks to go, yehhhhh.#901909lind84244 March 26, 2014 at 8:44 am
Hi all, Hope you’re having a good week. Enjoyed your comment, Stormy Weather, about doing a practice pack. 🙂 BTW Can someone tell me how to use the emoticons below? I’ve tried double-clicking, drag and drop, etc and nothing works. Anyhow, another little tip for pre-preparing: If you plan to use credit cards, it’s a good idea to contact your bank and advise them you’re going to be away so they know your credit card is likely to be used in some very distant places. They’ll note the dates of travel so that no security questions get raised when your Kiwi-based card is suddenly being used in Dubai or wherever. I was quite surprised once when the bank phoned my husband and asked if I was in Shanghai or somewhere. I was, as it happened, but it’s impressive that they notice unusual card use and take action to ensure it’s legitimate. if they know travel plans in advance all will go smoothly.
