Some handy hints when travelling with your pet....
Flying an animal around the world can often be stressful for the owner, but animals too become stressed and uncomfortable during long flights in small cages. Some long haul flights require transit stops to refuel planes and provide the pets with a rest stop.
You may need to obtain an Import Permit from the country you are travelling to. You will need to contact the appropriate embassy to discuss this with them (or phone MAF Export Helpline +64 4 4989624).
It is recommended that you have your vet give your pet a thorough check out to make sure they are healthy enough to travel.
