As you are probably aware, travel insurance is an integral part of your travel package and should be purchased at the same time you purchase your travel package.

It is advisable to take out comprehensive insurance to cover the possible loss of possessions and illness and injury while you are away. Medical expenses can be huge in other countries if they don’t have government subsidised health systems.

If you don′t cover yourself with travel insurance, any money you have paid for your holiday will be lost if you have to cancel your trip. This is also the case if the trip ends prematurely - even if it is due to illness, the weather or the company you purchased your holiday from goes bust!
