I HAVE A DREAM

I have a dream
A greater man than I once said
And it rings true
In every book I have ever read
Without a dream
Nothing worthwhile was ever made
But in life it seems
Without a vision dreams must fade

Those Souls we meet
Who touch our lives and those we touch
Make our travels sweet
But without clear vision we don’t amount to much
This is our journey
As the mysteries of life we do unravel
’tis not the destination
that counts but how and why we travel.

Make your journey count
Reaching out a healing hand to all you meet
Lost souls are all around
Searching for meaning in life on every street
Some may never find
The truths you in your life hold in your heart
So always reach out
to those whose search needs a brand new start.

JOURNEY

In all the many books of love and life
I read of hatred, turmoil and strife,
Heaven and Hell, beauty and grace
Full spectrum of the human race
Seeking
Inspiration

I walk many dusty roads by choice
I hear tormented souls with no voice
Down life’s loneliest, narrow street
People crying, in agony and defeat
Desiring
Understanding

Mankind seeking quality of life for all
Summer sun and drought move to fall
Through winter snows meet spring rain
Mankind feeling all hope to be in vain
Needing
Reassurance

I search for truth within my soul’s insight
I retreat into the stillness of long dark night
To find my future bound up within my past
I pray, I meditate, for answers I seek, at last
Gaining
Wisdom

Trials and tribulations often greet my day
Testing my heart and soul to not give way
In overcoming I learn more than from success
Painful experience strengthens, no regress
Building
Character

MY LIFE'S JOURNEY OF ENLIGHTENMENT

I honor the truths inherent in every experience
in my life for they reveal the blessing of each trial
These blessings give me wisdom to be shared
with others as we walk similar paths for a while
This is the beauty of my experience

I acknowledge that each challenge I meet in life
brings with it gifts and learning’s heaven sent
One such gift is patience to overcome each obstacle
that delays the pathway to my ultimate fulfillment
This is the beauty of my passage

I remove blocks stalling my forward movement
Cast off distractions to focus on the work at hand
To manifest changes I must always remain diligent
Take focused action to prepare for new life so grand
This is the beauty of perseverance

I continue to form new and build better relationships,
Embracing new potentials I close the door on the past
Welcoming new learning’s, sustaining true fellowship
I allow new experiences to reveal my destined path
This is the beauty of expansion.

Embracing the ebb and flow of each day with trust
Opening my heart and mind to true spiritual acuity
The outline determining all the chapters of my life
Becomes clearer and I better understand my reality
This is the beauty of understanding

Daily I honor my uniqueness and see my placing
in the world around me, through my relationships,
Through my daily work and social activity I’m pacing
myself as I discover the truest essence of my being
This is the beauty of my uniqueness

Even when there is no outer evidence of progress
I accept that All is perfect in the present moment
I trust that I am quietly moving toward my dreams
and my vision of the future provides enlightenment
This is the beauty of acceptance

Daily I acknowledge the spirit that dwells in all creation,
my actions and words naturally emanate love to others.
I open further doors of spiritual connection and inspiration
Finding my spiritual purpose through prayer and meditation
This is the beauty of my spirit

This is my journey of enlightenment

Only through our connectedness to others can we really know
and enhance the self. And only through working on the self can
we begin to enhance our connectedness to others.
