By the way four Grownups members in Tauranga here met together the other day for morning tea and had a great time, we have decided that we will do this on a regular basis as we all got on so well. Two of us are also joining up with the local garden club that one of them belongs to so we will meet up as you can see more than regularly. Thanks for getting that started. F.M.

I wish to say how much I enjoy Grownups for the diversity and variety of topics to be found in Lifestyle as well as the Discussion Threads. There is much to learn about people, their recipes for happy living as well as eating. The inspirational stories which touch the heart, the survival against all odds which some have to endure. The animal stories bring tears to my eyes as well. The talented poets and authors who share their thoughts and visions and offer a new slant on my thinking.

There is assistance for every problem whether it be techology, health or family. Hints and recipes for better living and best of all the humour has me in stitches at times. There is something for each of us and a frequent browse is like reading a good book. You won't want to put it down.

So thankyou to all who make this show the best of the best.

On entering the local library the other day, it was nice to see a poster, advertising Grownups site. As it was book chat morning, I was able to proudly say I was a member, and then went on to talk about the site. Thought it was a great idea to have a display like that at the library, so good on you all.

I think this grownups thingy is great! I find myself coming back to read new bits of it.. We are so very lucky in lots of repects compared to our olds Re computers, txts etc etc everything is just at our finger tips… just gotta take the time to use it! Cheers, Ruby.

Many thanks for presenting me with the Beatrix Potter Collection prize. I was very delighted to receive this. My grandchildren love them and so do I, guess there is still a bit of child left in me. I find that your website has presented me with a wonderful range of topics and opportunities to see and read about other people in my age group and events that are occurring. The people who produce GrownUps website, deserve congratulations. This NZ website is user friendly and designed with Seniors in mind. It has an excellent Information and a great Reminder system to tickle the grey cells and they are always in development mode. Simply by registering and providing some feedback, I was a most surprised and delighted winner of a sleek and compact Pentax S6 Digital, which I take everywhere with me. A New Zealander living in Italy writes. Just checked out the GrownUps website. Wow what a great site, I played the radio station, works well. Sometimes when I try to tune into NZ Radio it is a bad reception but this was fine and I′ll be trying the crosswords etc. I will not feel so homesick now as I can just go on that site. Best NZ info site I have found so far, keep up the good work.

It was brilliant having instant confirmation that my registration had gone through OK. Sometimes you have to wait a day or so, so you can lose enthusiasm of using such a site. Cheers. It would appear as if you will have a very important site for us older folk who are just learning to use computers with the very able help of my local senior net group. Having bought a computer to keep up with the grandchildren I have found it so much more than I thought it would as it has expanded into an interest in other subjects and now I find myself getting very involved with digital imagery again with the senior net group.
