Green Tea: The Natural Fat Burner

By Alice A Brown

Green tea is derived from the plant Camellia sinensis, and the first ones to discover this wonderful tea was Chinese emperor around 4,000 years ago. From there on it has been a staple of their culture especially in social gatherings. A few years later, other nations also adopted the intake of tea because of its appealing taste and relaxing effect.

Ancient medicinal experts have unlocked the secrets of tea as it was found to benefit the body in many ways. Aside from the fact that it was effective in keeping people awake, it was also found to aid immune enhancement. But the most interesting thing about tea is that it is a natural fat burner.

This natural fat burner allows the body to hasten the metabolism. It utilizes natural chemicals such as polyphenols in able to induce the body's "thermogenic activity". This allows the body to burn calories more easily.

Although science has proven that tea is a potent fat burner, it is not a magic pill that instantly removes fat. Achieving a better figure takes effort and discipline, to help you start off here are some tips.

Drink Tea Moderately

Although tea has many health benefits, too much of anything is bad for your health. Tea contains caffeine that may cause dehydration when taken in large amounts. Stay disciplined and limit your tea intake of up to 3-4 cups a day. Drink lots of water to avoid being dehydrated.

Eat Right

To utilize tea as a fat burner, one needs to regulate the intake of food. A balanced diet that is free from excessive fat or carbohydrates is a good start. By regulating one’s diet he will avoid the accumulation of excess calories that end up as fat. It is recommended that you eat mostly fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of water.

Exercise Regularly

Tea coupled with will produce positive results but to maximize its potential as a fat burner, you will have to break some sweat. Regular non-strenuous exercise will activate the tea’s metabolism hastening effects. Your body will enter in a mode wherein it can easily burn fat for energy therefore hastening the whole weight loss process.

More than a fat burner, it also strengthens the body as it also has antiviral and antibacterial properties. Tea is also known to be rich in antioxidants that negate the damaging effects of free radicals.

by MRHOBO 12th January 2010 It is said that if you get out of bed at night to go to the toilet, too often, you may have a prostrate problem. I drink green tea on a regular basis, but I have to go to the toilet at night to get rid of it. I used to drink coffee with lots of sugar but now it is only tea and mostly green tea. Feeling better in health and mind. If you haven't tried it, then start now.
