As our skin becomes thin and frail with age, it can be easily bruised or torn by minor accidents around the home or while working outdoors.  Simple skin tears and bruises can take a long time to heal and often require frequent dressings.  

Many of us have parents and grandparents who are constantly suffering from these types of injuries and although we mean well, the only solution is to tell them to stop gardening or limit their activities.
