The New Zealand Breast Cancer is a non-government funded charitable trust that aims to reduce the number of New Zealanders who die from breast cancer and to improve outcomes and quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.
Public support from sponsors, and the public enables the Foundation to provide FREE nationwide community education, research, medical grants and scholarships, seminars,a breast cancer patient register and advocacy.
This year over 60 towns and cities will be visited by the Foundation as part of its Breast Health Roadshow. These free public presentations cover topics like risk factors, signs and symptoms, lifestyle choices, myths and truths, mammograms and breast self examinations.
Free presentations are also given at workplaces, womens, sports, church, and community groups, so if you would like to discuss this or check the Roadshow schedule, please phone 0800 902 732 or visit www.nzbcf.org.nz
Free breast health resources like books and CD's are also available by phoning the Foundation.
And if you would like to join our "Pink Army" of volunteers to help collect during our Pink Ribbon Day Street Appeal on Friday 12th October 2007, we would also love to hear from you on 0800 902 732.
