Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action. It needs you.
Founded in 1971, Greenpeace is one of the world’s most successful and active environmental organizations. From working to end whaling and defending our oceans to fighting climate change and rainforest destruction, Greenpeace tackles the most important environmental issues facing our planet.
The image of Greenpeace activists placing themselves in front of the harpoon and putting their lives at risk to protect whales is a powerful one, yet only a small part of what we do. Our work involves so much more and we need you to help us safeguard our earth and all its wildlife for future generations.
You can be a Home Warrior and take action
Letter writing, lobbying your local politician, contacting retailers, volunteering in our office; there are so many ways you can get involved and help us protect our planet for generations to come. On occasions we hold lobbying workshops, campaign presentations and coffee mornings. Great opportunities to learn more, meet new friends, get involved and make positive change.
If you want to help protect our beautiful world and what things to be different but don’t know what to do … get involved. Contact Greenpeace and learn how you can be a Home Warrior.
For a Home Warrior pack and more information contact Nola on 09 630 6317 ext 859 or email nola.macaulay@nz.greenpeace.org
Greenpeace does not take corporate or Government funding (to maintain its independence), and depends on individuals who care deeply about our planet and its future.
Many of our supporters contribute by regular donations; though bequests are an increasingly popular way to touch the future and really do make the world of difference to Greenpeace’s work.
If you would like an information brochure on leaving a bequest to Greenpeace, please contact Nola on 09 630 6317 ext 859 or email nola.macaulay@nz.greenpeace.org
We are custodians of the planet for a moment in history. We inherit the earth from our ancestors and in turn bequeath it to future generations. The kind of world we leave behind depends on what we do today.
