I wonder if Grown Ups know about Operatunity? [www.operatunity.co.nz] who have monthly, daytime concerts at various venues up and down New Zealand.
They are by no means just opera, in fact they are mostly light music, songs from the shows, the forties, musicals etc. All delivered with a great deal of humour.
For $22 you get a concert (and singalong) and lunch. If you buy several tickets for the year, the price comes down to $20.
I've been going for a couple of years now and I have a great time.

Hi Lynda and welcome to discussions. Friends of mine go to Operatunity in Greymouth, but I am unable to go because of work. They really enjoy it and hopefully I may be able to attend a show at some stage. It certainly sounds a good deal with lunch included.

Hi Folks, here is a site you may be interested in.Its quite amusing. For those who like reading their Stars, this is for you,and enjoy. He tells what phase the moon was in the night you were born. The meaning of you Name, and oh heck take a gink at his site.
Your age is the equivalent of a dog that is 9.64931506849315 years old. (You old hound dog, you)....
They were wrong about my date of conception as I was a month premature.!
Did you agree with what your name meant though. He got mine right, thats going by other sites meanings too.Oooh I never looked at that bit about conception.Dad said he was wissed when that happened, thats why I came out staggering.Geeez.
Just to recap on operatunity, I went to the Xmas show in Greymouth and it was wonderful...great talent and some very funny sketches. They are coming for 4 shows next year, so I'll try to get to one or two at least.

Hi Alljust joined and am having great fun seeing who's who and what you are all saying.Operatunity comes to Napier reasonably regular - haven't managed to get to a show as I work full time but have heard that they are great.
