Oi Ocker, are you going to shout?
Your 10,000th posting's soon out!
You could buy us a wine
Or a beer would be fine!
But a whiskey would give me the gout!!!

Hell Ocker, almost 10,000 postings!
That surely deserves several toastings.
Puts us women to shame
so we must raise our game
or we'll have to put up with your boastings.

And Ocker, please make mine a rum
'twould be lovely and warm in my tum.
I'd get rather frisky
if I had a whisky
and it could make my brain a bit numb.

So Ocker your posts are nearing a thousand
We kiwis should give you a hand
But why should we mate
The rhyming's not great
And the language is all rather bland.

Ten thousand postings...well done
Thinking of all those could stun
I don't think I'll ever
Match your endeavour
But limerick writing is fun.

Dodgits posting was not kind to our Ocker

Hey Janda welcome back biggrin
hope you've had time to unpack
takes a wee while to unwind
hope the jetlags left you still in sound mind
and that it hasn't given you much flack! wink

(Thanks Loyal)

I had a good time over there
But it wasn't too good in the air
Didn't sleep (very trying)
There were small children crying
But it's just something one has to bear!

(for jude39) #7207

Hey Jude lol, your Lim'ricks are fine
It's good you've decided to rhyme
But they're five lines, not four
So please think up one more
To rhyme with the very first line!

Ten thousand Ocker - well done
You busy son of a gun
Your rhymes are superb
Noun, pronoun and verb
(And your paintings are second to none)

Thanks for advice Janda, but when I posted on the limericks last year our limericks were finished off by others and we didnt have to write the whole rhyme ourselves - think that made it more interesting. wink biggrin Ok either way tho. confused
