Humming away quietly the time went quickly and hunger was beginning to make him realise he had better stop for lunch. His meagre supplies consisted of dried up leftovers and a squishy banana, which he wolfed down, the problem of indigestion not being a consideration. His water bottle was running dry and he still had a way to go before he got to gran's hamlet. He spied an old house set amongst some trees. No sign of any one living there as he pulled up in front of the gate. Grabbing his bottle, he went looking for an outside tap, only to find a pump that was so rusted it no longer worked. Looking down he saw a rusty old key which he hoped would fit a door in the back of the house. A car pulled into the kerb and a woman jumped out waving to him. He realised he should have kept out of the property, but the woman acted as though she was beckoning him to come over to her. He walked across and showed her his near empty water bottle, apologising for his lack of area knowledge. After telling the woman his plight, they walked slowly towards the house. Once inside the woman turned to Marty and smiled reaching for his empty water bottle, she asked him, "how would you
like some water"? while we go" look for the family cat who seems to be
somewhat off colour and not behaving

I have given up on three word stories as they are too slow and unpredictable. If you want to stretch it more Kermos, go for it.
