a) It says there are 11 rooms but how do you get into one.

It does not say 11 rooms, it says there are 11 people in that room
To get into a room you just click on it, not rocket science.

b) We appear to have lost the ability to talk to several people at once.

Don't know how you figure this out...just not true

c) How can we get to know new people with this format.

I like the look of the new chat room but whenever I go over there everyone's just said they're off to make dinner (or going to bed) or they are in private chat rooms.

gg i dont think they are private chatrooms .just go there.we are all trying out the rooms to see how it works nothing private about it,so feel free to enter and meet us.cheers pearly

Thanks Pearly. I thought the private chatrooms were ones set up so members can get away from the bustle of the main chatroom. I didn't like to barge into someone else's conversation.

The recent change which has posts showing people coming into the chatroom and leaving the chat room is not going down well. It adds unneccessary clutter to the chat, is superfluous (can see in the box who has appeared and disappeared) Since it has been in force people have had a lot of difficulty in getting posts thru, whether this is related or coincidence I do not know!

I think the `Chat Room' looks cool with member's photos showing up.

The photos help to make it more like a conversation instead of talking to people anonymously.

It did say that I'd left the chat room when I hadn't though.

And it can take for ages for one's post to show up on the screen.

I'm sure the guys will fix it though, eh?

I was in the chatroom recently and felt like a yo-yo... being bumped on and off continuously. The text I was writing failed to appear in the conversation and refreshing the screen didn't help either, although I could read everyone else's messages. Very weird. Maybe because I'm on dial-up? Sorry to all, I wasn't being rude !!!

This was happening to me too (and I'm on wireless broadband).

I can agree with what has been said here as i have just put a similar post to the Admin. to see what happens so looking forward to a reply. The chat room is losing alot of people who are getting fed up wth been dumped most nites through no fault of theirs. Also lost messages etc.
