The modern ones clip onto the monitor or you can have headphones. Did you plug it in to the computer in the pink hole, I think? Mine is free standing for my hearing aids.

Can you send it back for a refund, Coliflower ? Ha HA. Grandsons is a very small affair which clips on to the side of his flat monitor, while mine is like a bent snake on a stand. Having hearing aids mean feedback and I sit back and hold it to my mouth. Have not done much Skyping of late and none of my friends want to have it. It is best to avoid paying toll calls. Bebo is another site which my scattered family seem to have embraced with enthusiasm. Access to another is only through permission and messages and photos fly back and forwards among friends and family. The sites are your own design and very colourful. Eldest daughter set me up with Shrek on the cover. Love him.

I bet if I did send it back they would repair or replace as the are a very moral company. I am off to Taupo later in the week and will get a head set, have listened in to some of the group talks, some weird stuff. but good fun lol

Well, I have skype up and going, do you find that the live talk chats are disorientated, a lot of breaks in conversation, very hard to follow, but I like the instant messaging.

Hi Coliflower. Did you get your mike problem sorted? In general PC's are designed to use high impedance microphones like the cheap and nasty electret mikes. Low impedance mikes may not produce the output required.

Hi Stickshift, yes all my problems sorted, have been talking to one guy in Peking, and messaging a lot of others, I do find the first question you are asked is your age? I say 108 lol it is a great free service and the reception has improved since skypes outage, seems stronger now? perhaps we should have a grownups skype cast once in a while? BTW what car do you drive?
