Emelle. Like I told Blinky yesterday.Try needanerd.co.nz A young man rang me this a.m. Put me right on uplifting attachments etc. Trouble is when I came to do it,I couldn't remember all he said. If you do enquire get them to email you reply and follow instructions. Sounds a bit like "Mission Impossible" I hope this post doesn't explode in 5 seconds?

Thank you for caring and sharing GB -,glad I got here before your message disappeared also !!! I was just coming on line to say I GOT IT ! and it might help anyone else who stumbled along into a disaster .While I was trying to get it all back this afternoon I lost the left column saying 'Picture Tasks ' as well ! (scanning etc)
I glumly went again to 'Help' at the top of the page on 'pictures' and spotted -'Pick a Task'...under that was 'undo changes made to computer with SYSTEM RESTORE .Clicking on that it said I could pick a date to restore the computer files to how they all were on that date !
So I clicked on to Sunday ,and there was whirring and clicking and the computer closed down then came on again and everything was back .!!!
(I don't think it does wrinkles.)
Cheers,
Emelle

I have just logged off a site called Brainfuel.co.nz It is a free learning site run by the Southern college of learning.I spoke on the phone to a lady called Clare. The number is 0800 427 246. They are offering a computer course, and a management course. She said their youngest learner was nine(Wow!) and their oldest was eighty-four(double Wow!)You can download application form and print off on printer, but you can more easily(for me) email her,and she will email an application form. Looks good and hopefully my computing will improve?

Hi gera006,
You say your computer doesn't recognize grownups site/ But you are able to get on here ok, aren't you.
You should be able to Cut or Copy text to the clipboard, then open Grownups, log in and paste the contents into where you type comments.
I don't see that it won't work that way?

I will try it and see.

Spring is sprung, the grass is ris
I wonder where the birdies is
Some say the bird is on the wing
But according to the story I heard
The wing is on the bird.

I just copied/pasted that onto here.

Gera006,
Are you trying to send stuff to the Grownups website or an email address?

Majorminor,
Yes, Teamviewer would be an option but I get the feeling that for some people having problems doing stuff on their computer already, it would be a bit of a mission getting them to download it etc.
However it is a good suggestion and it may be useful for some. (I do have Teamviewer on my machine)
