Hi Experts. I `m running Win 7 home with Win live mail. Every time I want to open something in an email ,it wants to open in Word.Even aTrademe link will open in word or a Grownups email . How do I stop this so that any link will open in its own program. Thanks Garnham

Hi Garnham,
Here is something to try.
Click the little down arrow up in the top left corner and go to Options/Mail.
Click the Read tab and make sure there is NO tick in the box next to "Read all messages in plain text".

Also check the Defaults for Windows Live Mail in the Start menu. Click Start, open Default Programs and have a look in there.

Good Afternoon Cookybaby
No luck with your first Idea
Second one I had a good look around but couldnt find anything to do with the problem
To me it seems I need to tell Word that its not the default page for opening anything
Thanks Garnham

Try setting your defaults for MS Word in the defaults list, maybe?
