Arandar, Great, The name is to highlight one of our dear Grownups Friends "Ockfreckle of The Newmarketeers in Aucklands tradition of always enjoying the stuff Several of ourAuckland & Christchurch gatherings including a recent ChristchurchMudhouse Winery lunch featured "Pink Plonk" I wanted to convey the idea that GROWNUPS are a fun loving bunch of people. We in one day are getting some interesting ideas..I,ll be summarising the posts and we will get an idea early of our destination. We will be recommending accomodation options too and activities to do together. Our Group often rents holiday homes together as one way of keeping the price down whilst other do "Billet" with Grownups from time to time. Still others will use their motorhomes. motels etc Keep the ideas rolling in.!

I see, THAT'S the challenge is it?? Yes, I like the idea of a great big pink get together. What about on Stewart Island??
Clarks Beach is a little south of Auckland on the Manukau Harbour. When we are sitting on the deck (pink plonk in hand??) we can see the planes arriving and departing at the Auckland Air Port. Husband wants a bigger telescope so he can see the colour of the air hostesses eyes!!

I'm a starter too and March/April would suit me fine. I'm happy to go along with wherever the majority want, as I haven't travelled round the country much and am hoping to see more of it while I'm still able.

Sounds like a lot of fun, an pleanty of time to put away some cash too. March sounds good too. Not sure of a destination. Would like to see Nelson and haven't been to Christchurch since (dare I say it) about 1955. Have lived in Hawkes Bay and in Patea in South Taranaki, both wonderful places. Looking forward to more suggestions. Cheers

I would like to put forward March as would like to have a chance of warm weather and long light days.
Renting holiday homes is great and usually goes well of the pocket and can come and go whenever.
Would sooner go somewhere else other than Nelson seeing this is the only place in the South I have been to and that was a couple of months ago.
Lovely place it was too.
Well that is my pennies worth and sure it will be very popular and turn out great.
