Sitting tonight supping local wine on The Collingwood Estuary watching the sun setting from a peaceful idyllic Collingwood Camp. We are one of two motorhomes having the whole place to ourselves. Off to Farewell Spit ambling along tomorrow via Pakawau & Puponga. I have tramped all through here We are also hopping back to Takaka to lunch with my daughter after she finishes work before returning to The Mussel Inn @ Onekaka, and Living Candles nearby. On Wednesday we are off to Bainham and The Naked Possum Cafe and Eco-TanneryThe leisurely pace of life and no ((((shakes )))) good for our equilibrium and soul.

Dally, Thanks We thoroughly enjoyed our 21 days in Paradise particularly Collingwood, Pakawau and were a bit disappointed Gale force winds and flooding forced us out of Collingwood Camp on beach and estuaryWe headed back to Takaka to see my daughter and grandson before braving gales on Takaka Hill to get over to MAPUA Leisure Park for 6 nights. We had a magic idyllic time there including a Mapua Lunch with Calling ALL Nelsonians Grownups Group. You may see our photos in FRIENDS Thread. on our Canterbury GrownupsSocial Discussion Group thread.Cheers,Dr.Livingstone.Ps Where is Glen Orua.?

Dr L - Glen Oroua is in the Manawatu. We have friends who own a farm by the Naked Possum Cafe and occasionally stay in one of their farm cottages

Dally, We loved Golden Bay and also Nelson and Marlborough. We are planning a big trip by Motorhome next year and deciding whether a month in North Island or a month in Southland Otago & Southern Lakes. We got hooked on motorhome travel and met some lovely friends along the way.

Ah, Doc, that trip sounds absolutely delightful. I can certainly understand your desire to get away from the shakes. Enjoy yourselves, and may the sun shine wherever you are :-)
