Family members have been killed in an accident caused by another party, who will have insurance cover. The deceased's car is written off, but only had third party insurance cover, therefore the deceased party's insurers aren't interested and have told us to claim on the other party. The car remains in a wreckers yard, as it will have to be assessed by the other insurer and has to be written off by an insurer to be de-registered. How do we start? What should we do?
