If you have Freeview Choice Two is number 9 on your tv.It's a new channel offering a choice of programmes.I watched a documemtary, good. At least it caters for all tastes.

Anything under Govt. control is abysmal to say the least. With the big bucks going into the bosses' pockets not much left for the viewers.

Hi Joybel. I agree. I did find out that you can put your computer through your new Freeview telly, via the USB port.I have been reading about that . For any info on any subject-try about.com However the jargon leaves me cold.My son(computer technician) doesn't think it a good idea.He feels it could damage yout tv.,The other rather frightening topic is that of the top-box freeview gizmo, that has already been declared in the states that is, as not really woking that well. But thank God I have a computer.I can at least get something entertaining, especially on Grownups.

This dictatorial John Key Government is telling us viewers that we actually want TV1 REPEATS One Hour Later. We TV7 Supporters disagree and the battle of David & Goliath continues. July 1st TV1 PLUS Starts is the day we turn off TV1.

The country needs a shut down of tvnz one sat. night to give them the message. They could run channels one two and three by remote control and sack the staff putting the money into decent programs. They do come up with the odd gems but I record them as the ads. make my blood pressure rise. I record most of what I watch but with a new Barnaby Inspector I may sit up tonight.

Labour MP Clare Curran has drafted a member's bill to require TVNZ to fund the non-commercial channel TVNZ7 or a similar channel.
The Government announced it would stop funding the Freeview channel TVNZ7 _ home to programmes such as Backbenches and the Court Report _ in April. It will be wound-up at the end of June and will be replaced by broadcasts of TV One delayed by an hour _ as TV3 does with its Freeview channel.
Ms Curran's bill establishes a Public Broadcasting Foundation, to be funded by TVNZ, to provide a channel which shows a broad range of programmes.
The bill was put into the members' ballot yesterday, but would not go before Parliament unless it is drawn out.

I am wondering whether I need to craft myself a tinfoil hat. I really don't incline to every conspiracy theory that flies by me, truly I don't.
But what's happening to our Public Broadcasting and for now TV but not so long ago was Radio NZ? *Pulls nice shiny foil hat down over ears*
Can it be that this unbelievable rubbish, endless cooking shows, house renos in other countries, makeovers, so-called 'freak shows' and fantasy-crime shows, are part of a deliberate plot to (i) drive the averagely intelligent among us off screaming to the pay tv dark side and/or (ii) reduce the average IQ and EQ of the nation so that (iii) either way, this government's foreign Corporate Overlords get to corner the market place???

Arandar, We long ago left TV1 And TV3 TV7 is a favourite. We still select ocassional programmes on TV1 and sometimes the news Mark Sainsburys useless! We like some of John Campbells interviews but the Governments dropping of THE Charter was the last straw @ TV1 as well as the corporate Greed of TV1 Executives. We enjoy ocassional TV @ Prime and Maori TV.We get more use out of our individual Laptops. and enjoy Alice in Videoland Classics etc.

I to like Channel 7. I find our television programmes loaded with crap american shows, and reality, and cooking.I'm disappointed with Freeview.

Maori tv is great. It's informative, and has good movies, and such. I never get tired of Kapahaka. Being an entertainer myself, I find the ability to remember oodles of words and song, absolutely admirable.Choice Two is the new channel. I'm afraid it's quite inferior to channel 7.
