Hi everyone ... Sammy from Poets Corner.
I have a small hobby ceramic studio which I run from my garage. Have over 500 molds which are poured with liquid clay into many different items (called greenware) from kitchenware to figurines and novelty items.
Decoration is either in "stains" (acrylic paint) or in glazes and under glazes.
Hold sessions 3 nights a week and Weds. morning. $4 per session to cover heating, tea, coffee etc.
Have approx 18 "students" some who have been coming for over 10 years.
I have 2 electric kilns to fire the pieces in so there is no waiting. (Only overnight).
It started as a hobby for myself at another studio but I was making so many pieces I decided to open my own "studio".
I shut for 5 weeks at Xmas and that is the only time I am closed.
