Hi Powow, I've just purchased an MP3 player so I can download audiobooks and I'm finding the same thing. Maybe they can only upload books that are out of copyright? I've downloaded 'Three Men in a Boat' today and have already listened to half of it - I should be able to more than double my 2010 total of 84 books if I can 'read' while I'm doing other stuff! Also going to try '
'War and Peace' as I know I'll never actually read it. Janine

This thread is a bit old now, but I understand you can borrow books online (you pass them on by a certain date) and also some public libraries are set up for this now too, so you could ask there.
Free books are perhaps a little like free music downloads and not especially legal, but I'm not sure how this works.

Free books are only those out of copywrite. However if you go to The Book Depository web site you can find the current books at reduced prices. It all depends on what you are looking for!

Having purchased a KOBO e-reader for my wife, I am seeking help to find web sites, where there are free books to download.
Have been through many but the real free books seem to be classics, or antiquated books.
Many thanks,
Graham
