Hi all, Submissions for the proposed new Marine and Coastal area Bill close 19th November 2010.

It is in the interests of all New Zealanders to send in a submission to prevent this loosely drafted document from seeing the light of day. I urge you to visit www.CoastalCoalition.co.nz for more info.

To add insult to injury the National government has in its wisdom selected the Maori Affairs Select Committee to read & hear all submissions and then report back to parliament in February 2011 with their findings, rather like putting the foxes in charge of the chicken coop wouldn't you say, with 7 known activist Maori members only on the committee.

How on earth are we supposed to believe that they will report back with an unbiased view?

I made my online submission yesterday and made a small donation.

I too, encourage everyone who opposes this bill to make a submission before Friday. The seabed and foreshore should remain in Crown hands.

At NZ First's AGM July 30/31, Winston announced NZ First will stand for seabed and foreshore to remain Crown (our collective) property.
NZ First is also the leading party for domestic wealth creation and widening NZ ownership and investment in education and export industries.
