Relax its only tongue in cheekwink.Re the cost and the E.G.

I know for one thing ,when it comes to hard little workers the staff are well trained .

Even though bins are provided as well as rest rooms etc ( which incidentally with a lot of highway travel due to sickness, we patronise, so we always buy something there as well ,,,lol

(the young ones I have seen and theres Lotsaa them,)

are only too willing to clean up after other adults who dont clean up after themselves...

So credit where credits due and must say the thickshakes are top notch on a hot dusty day

Cheers Kai

One thing we (Superannuates) will have to watch carefully is that in calculating our annual adjustment against the average wage next !st April that they do not include the GST adjustment that has just been made.

The cost of living just for the necessities is why so many Kiwis are living in poverty, never mind the cost of a car which is needed as the country can't afford a decent public rail system, or the cost of buying a home, either new, or a 100 year old house with the glamourous title of " Villa". GST is a crippling penalty imposed on the working class when businesses are able to claim all kinds of exemptions to avoid paying their share of the cost of living. If they are hard done by why aren't more of them living in low economic areas.

The cost of professional services is extortionate amongst medical and legal professions, so we wait months to be seen at a hospital by a specialist who
"provides" their service gratis to us but is paid just as well by the Govt.

I don't go on holiday in NZ as the cost to stay one night in accommodation is more than my pension can manage. When I can no longer look after myself and am shunted into care it will cost a $1000 a week to give me the basics. We are all living beyond our means and are supposed to be grateful whenever the Govts. hand us a few extra dollars even though costs rise higher.

We are in a recession, but there has been no sign of tightening our belts from the moneyed sector. It is the worker who is out of a job and paying more and more as GST adds to the cost of every aspect of life. The only difference I can see between whichever party holds the reins is in their names, as both labour and National have the same agenda. We judge them according to our financial situation and the country is endowed with two bob Tories.

While on this subject we haven't heard from Jens for a while. Hope he is ok. He believed in raising GST to 20% and take away personal taxes.
Then it becomes a user pays system. The more one spends the more GST is paid.
Would it work or would the 'haves' object having to pay more for their luxuries?
