I am still furious that many residents of Christchurch are without the necessity of life and yet the Wizard and Jimmy Anderton standing holding hands begging the residents to give millions of dollars to a bloody Stadium and a Cathedral. This shows how shallow some people are.

Belladonna - I see the Shirley Community Center is to be Demolished.. That was my second School.. We went thru the Park and through the 'Wooden School' grounds Across the road to the old Brick School Building.. I think I was there for at least 2 years.. I still have a couple of Class Photos taken there. 1953 and 1954

Regent street looks wonderful. A pity about the pair of highrises at the other end spoiling the effect.

We have some sentimental memories of New Regent Street and its nice to see it just about like we remember it ,from 2 years ago,and previous holidays,, and from
"Way Back when "
Lots of others will remember the tram going through there and lots of tourists once that happened ,,and was always a neat place to have a Coffee n catchup
LONG before the tram was going through ..
OOPs Nostagia taking over and I have work to do
Cheers Kai

BD, Sad about The Shirley Community Centre. I was a part of the Founding Committee of it when we fought to stop Housing Corp demolish it for housing. I was Chairman of The Shirley Primary School at the time and we had just built the new school across the road. Thanks for that.
