CERA is really plumbing new depths in releasing personal details of REDZONE Residents bailout deal. Deeply personal information was dumped into the Parliamentary record by Minister of Earthquake Recovery Gerry Brownlee. Talk about information thuggery. This violates privacy principles and CERA needs to be held to account.as does abusive Ministers.

Last year so many elderly were moved out of chch, away from friends and family and many died because of it............BUT to jerry that would be saving some pension and nothing more............

And what has been done over the summer as we now go into a second winter with quakes and homes still not fixed...will ppl still have high power bills they cannot afford or go without food to pay for this bill...it must be great for those who can afford these things, to have there homes fixed straight away while those who cannot afford to pay WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT...

All ministers sit in their comfortable homes not really knowing what the real world is like, they should be all put in a housing corp house with just the dole wage to keep them without being able take from their bank account just to remind them of how real ppl live before they get into parliment each term for 3 months each time...Make sure that its winter time so they have to pay for the extra power and or wood for warmth...they then may realize what it is like for ppl who have children or elderly people who cannot afford heating................

This isn't the first time a Minister og Government has behaved like this.Paula Bennett is off to the Human Rights Review Tribunal for breaching the privacy of beneficiaries who had stuck their heads up and complained about their treatment,in a case which looks like costing the government tens of thousands of dollars.Sadly Brownlees comments are covered by Parliamentary Privilege so there appears to be no scope for holding him to account. However The Government Dept. which gave him the information OTOH Could be in a very different boat. There is no reason for Ministers to know the private information of individuals dealing with CERA as it was not collected for the purpose of bullying and so was passed on to him was a violation of privacy principles.CERA needs to be held to account.

Doctor Livingstone
I presume you will hit the 10,000 soon and then I think you should hand over to Stanley for a while and have a spell from this Labour Regime platform.

The Christchurch City Council Plan(iS IT Tony Marryatt & Co or Actually The Mayor & Councillors) that we are to lose our One Way Streets system without debate or input from We the Public of Christchurch.A survey of AA Members say 56% favour one way streets and only16% don,t. One Way Streets free up traffic to cross city to destinations. What do you think?

The Government defence of writing off 251 Homes despite being advised it would be cheaper to save them is spuriious at the very least and The Avon Loop Planning Association is planning to fight the zoning. It is pretty devastating to be told that this house is brand new built to withstand lateral spread and suffered no damage in the earthquakes. The partial cover means the couple may not be eligible for the redzone offer and could be left with a total loss on their undamaged home. They and others are suggesting an alternative "PURPLE ZONE" pushing for the land to be repaired. The Government has yet to explain why it had changed its position so drastically. Avonside residents Alison Locke & Mike Moss s new riverside home had been strengthened and is undamaged but it was built in July meaning the couple have been able only to secure partial earthquake insurance cover capped @ $100,000

All great credit to our Governor General Jerry Mateparae for fronting up for Habitat for Humanity as their patron. A photo op out in Aranui with a great cause. Habitat has helped repair 16 homes and is working on another four.
