I'm flying from Auckland to Heathrow on October 2nd this year and need some help transferring from my wheelchair to the aisle chair so air NZ can put me on the plane. Anybody travelling to London on the same flight and able to give me a lift (I'm not especially heavy). I'll also need similar help at Heathrow and at the LA stop over

You will find, if you tell Air New Zealand, that they will help you.

My friend is in a wheelchair (paraplegic) and whenever he travels he tells the airline via the travel agent and they make arrangements for him to be transferred from his wheelchair to one of theirs and they settle him in his seat.

As long as you communicate with the airlines and your travel agents you will find that everything you need will be catered for.
