Hi, I have recently moved to Pukekohe with my husband. We are originally from the UK and have been living in NZ for nearly 2 years now. My hubby works in the City and at present I'm a housewife. As I don't know anyone here in Pukekohe, I am eager to meet new friends and settle into the community. If anyone would like to meet up for a coffee and a chat, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome Nukiwi - There is a group of us that meet monthly (or whenever) and we are listed under Franklin Friends so if you go back and look amongst the comments, you may find what you are looking for.
We last met up at Pots n Petals a couple of weeks ago. We usually meet in a cafe but next time people are actually coming to my home on August 5 - I will make contact with you offline so I can give you details.
I'm sure there will be someone else who will make contact with you too and you will soon make new friends.
Keep warm...

Hi Threadz, thanks for your reply. What age ranges are the group that meet up? I'll be 50 at the end of the year and would like to meet people around my age group, so if there are some then I'd be more than happy to meet up. Most of my friends are up in the Howick area so desparately wanting to make friends a bit closer to home.

Hi Nukiwi - our ages range from ? to ? - perhaps a little older than you but age is only a number. You are as old as you feel and even though many of us are of different age groups, it doesn't seem to be an issue. I am friends with a neighbour who is the same age as my adult kids (she is English) and we do enjoy our times together and for myself, I don't even think about the age gap. lol
Hopefully some of our Gr'ups friends will reply on here so they can make contact with you. smile
Enjoy your day,
Threadz razzrazz

Hi Nukiwi,
Welcome to our area. Our local group, Frankin Friends, may average a tad older than you but when we have get togethers with other South Auckland groups we often have folk along who would younger than you. We have a lot of laughs & like Threadz, I have various friends in your age group & younger. Watch Franklin Friends thread & come along & join us at any of our meets.
Look forward to meeting you.razzrazzrazz

Hi Threadz and Gaby One,

Sorry for the delay in replying but we are only on dial-up at the moment so I'm not on the computer much as it drives me mad....its soooo slow cry I would love to meet up with you all and will do my best to be at Threadz next get together. I'm just awaiting news on a temporary job and should know next week sometime. I'll let you know then if I can make it but if not I will get to meet up at some point.

Look forward to meeting you razzrazz

hello nukiwi. Welcome to grownups. I am not from your area but travel a bit from group to group and I just want to say not to worry about age. We are not old fuddy duddy's. We have people from 50 to 75 in the Newmarketeers and if you can get there check out our thread too. You would be very welcome. Today we are off to Albany... on the bus, cause it's free lol
