And we are Scottish and proud of it. Sooner go and watch the Highland Fling and listen to the Bag Pipes. Nothing raises the hairs on the back of your neck more than those Scottish Bagpipes.

What a great night on tv. The Queen Jubilee procession up the Themes. It went from 7.30 till just after midnight without any adds. It was fantastic. It was the first time I have ever seen Tower Bridge open up. We saw the waka in the early part but didn’t see it again. It must have sunk. The weather was OK for the first part but then it started to rain and then it was pi-----g down, but the Queen and the rest of the royal party still had smiles and were enjoying it.
I don’t know what is wrong with NZ . There has been nothing about it , not even on the news. The only thing they are doing is the concert. (TV1 Wed 7.30 – 11.35pm) I think it will be well worth watching.
Tomorrow night we will be watching the service Plus a few other things. 7.30pm on UKTV.

Benny, I went to a tattoo (one of many I've been to) in Wellington, many years ago. I sat entranced, snapped madly on my camera, and then towards the end, discovered I had no film in the camera.
I had an Irish grandmother, a Scottish grandfather and two English grandparents, so that makes me a Bitzer, I guess. But I love all the music, Sottish and Irish. Went across to Sydney in 2010 for the Edinburgh Tattoo there - magic - just like being in Scotland watching it.
Flash, have you booked your tickets yet?

Good morning folks, wasn't the "Jubilee Celebrations" a right ol bit-of-a-do!
Absolutely brillant.

Flash, Jazzman and I watched the Floatila last night - magnificent, shame about the weather in the end.
Thoroughly enjoyed the small choir singing in the end; they were like drown duckies! Jazz and I was singing along.
Jazzman's folk were British; he is the only "kiwi" amongst his siblings and his parents (especially his dear old Mum) was a Royalist. I made a "High Tea"
the other evening, got my best dinner set, etc, etc. It was lovely.
My Father was Irish, Mum was born in New Zealand but her parents were British. So I think we Bitzer's too, don't you think Floosie.
We have not long finish watching the concert that was UKTV this morning.
Worth watching for those who didn't see it. Will probably watch it again it was so good. I agree with you Flash, lovely to see something without no ad's.!!
Sad to hear about the Duke in Hospital.
I have managed to search the net for a cross stitch chart this am for the Diamond Jubilee and found a nice one of the Queen, an excuse for Jazzman to take me shopping now!!haha. That will keep me busy and out of mischief during the winter months.
Trust you all are well. Take care. Quilting Hugs.LN & Jazzman.xx

Loveable Nana, I am so pleased you watched it with me and enjoyed it so much. I felt that a lot of them thought I was going on for nothing when I said how good it was. But you saying it may be different. I wasn't able to watch the concert today as we were out, but it is also on TV1 on Wed. Mind you, they will still want to put on 5 minutes of adds every 10 mins. It seems like its the only bit of the jubilee that NZ are interested in. Hasn't even been on the news.
