Another lovely day in Paradise as we breakfast first pack up our kit & clobber and then wave byebye to Wonderful Wanaka as we six Canterbury GUPS Gallivanters gregariously gallop off to the Waitaki Valleys country hamlet of Kurow.

Maybe Good Street Deli have changed owners since I was there and encountered a very rude staff member. Here's hoping.
Dyna was happily back in her own home last night so shouldn't be long and we will see her back on line again.
Flat out baking at the moment for an afternoon tea for about 25 people. Have to leave home by 1.30 latest so no time to dally.

Gidday guys. Checked into villa 60 at just on 2pm. Got stuck behind a truck and trailer unit with cattle on board south of Ashburton. No chance to pass, so had to put up with all this effluence ( you can imagine what I mean) hitting the road and spraying up all over the car, and window. Had to put the windscreen washer on. Tried to stay back but traffic behind forcing us along. Whew what a smell. Car wash for us.
Just can't say how much we enjoyed the whole trip away. So laid back. Just unload the cars and the jug goes on and we are all sitting chatting and reading or on the puter, as though we haven't driven any distance at all. Great to go to places we have not seen before. Arrowtown was especially a treat. 150th anniversary. Thousands of people there. Marvelous street parade.
Many thanks to Graeme and Claire for doing so much to organise this trip. Mavis and Graham were a mine of info. Glad we called into Cromwell, and had our coffee lakeside. Our thanks for a great time

Well, Daffy, it seems very quiet here without the chatter! We know what you mean about the car, ours went straight to the car wash. The poor animals crammed into those trucks - we saw some at a sale yard, in the heat with no shade or water. Almost enough to turn me vegetarian, but not quite.
Yes, the trip was wonderful, good weather, good company, good food, marvellous scenery - what more could we want? Um, more time! ?

That is disappointing to have so few there this morning. We had good intentions of coming today as it is close to family and we were in town Friday/Sat and have to come back tomorrow. Instead of staying over we decided to come home and catch up on those jobs that are not getting done at the moment. It has been a lovely day here today so heaps has been done outside. Good to see the travellers are enjoying themselves.

Cheers to all
