Desi & I are visiting on Friday in our BITOFADO into The Heathcote Valley one of the many unique and enterprising businesses that have started up again after losing there original premises to the earthquakes. We applaud the enterprise of Iconic Heathcote Valley Cafe & Roastery Upshots Coffee. They have opened @ 131 BridlePath Rd in a Red Container. We will have a muffin and coffee there on Friday mid morning.Look for Upshots on NEAT PLACES Website or on FACEBOOK. Carpe Diem.biggrin

Hi, We are back. Got home about lunch time. We sat down for tea tonight and forgot to put the tele on. While we've been away we had no radio, computer or tele so we got out of the habit. All we had was DVDs so we watched a concert each night. Although we did pop in to the tv room on Monday night to watch the news.
Every day down there was heavy cloud. When we got there we lost all sense of direction and didn't know which way to set up the awning so we had to hope for the best. But it didn't matter as we only had a bit of sun on the last day. It was still cloudy but there were a few holes for the sun to peep through now and again.
On the way back this morning, Audrey said it was still a good break and was good to be away from the earthquakes for a while. I said they are waiting for us to get back, We'll have one tonight. Sorry folks, it was all my fault. mrgreen
It was great to have Summerwoods and Colin for a day and night. They stayed the night in a cabin. We went out for dinner. The pub had a cheap roast but Daffy said it smelt like an OP shop. There are plenty of places for lunch but only two very expenceive places for dinner. Even the take-away place closed at night. It just left the fish and chip shop but we didnt think much of that. So we had a meal at the village inn and went back to Daffy and Colin's cabin for coffee. They came to our place for coffee next morning. Had a lot of laughs.lollol Daffy took some photos which are on my computer to put on the thread. I also have over 200 emails to go through.
Another good day was Sunday when we had a visit from Dr L and Desi and we all had a barby. Desi really gave us a few good laughs with her stories. I'll also put some photos on from that day after I download them. rolleyesrolleyes
Well, I didn't intend to write a book on this thread. More later. razzrazz
