Hi Gran..I play word games on US sites and they reject some words that are common in NZ, and accept funny words that I've never heard of..they are being controlled by the American spelling I think.

I play regularly with my sisterinlaw in bay of islands and son in perth.
Google internet scrabble club
and click on internet scrabble club download -- its free.I also have skype and we can chat as we play - hope this helps
