I will not even try to advise you cos I know how little I know. But the Gardener mag has put out an absolutely brilliant and helpfull speciall edition on growing berrys and currants. It is the most brilliant publication I have seen concerning gardening of any sort and shows you how you can have an orchard in a small back yard.

Hi, strawberries are so very easy to grow, in the ground or in a planter. The main thing is not to let them dry out esp when flowering and fruiting, as like tomatoes they need the constant moisture for their luscious fruit.

I'm wanting to grow strawberries and never having tried this before would like some tips and advice on this please. Have heard that plants are for sale now - after buying plants, what is the next step?
Told you I'm new to this....
