My favourite book ever was one put out by the Readers’ Digest, entitled ANIMALS I WILL NEVER FORGET.
It was a collection of true stories of remarkable animals, and I loved it.
We were holidaying at Red Beach, sleeping in the horse float, allowing the caravan to remain set up for living.
Every morning our two boys would get up and go into the caravan and I would lie in bed, reading, with tears streaming down my face, from joy, and from sorrow.
Foolishly I lent the book to a friend who later declared that she had never seen it.

50 WORD STORY

Two dogs and a cat, natural enemies, form a bond that sees them survive `The Incredible Journey’ home. The tale was a journey of emotions, up and down like the landscape the animals traversed; joy and pain like the furry friends experienced. One journey for them, several re-reads for me.
