I bought a well insulated home with a heat pump. I installed a wood fire and wetback and saved $100 on my power bill. Nothing like the warmth of a wood fire compared to a soulless heat pump.

Have had more bats fitted in the ceiling with subside from CEA. have already noticed a difference. house not as cold in mornings as it use to be. Unfortunately or fortunately depending how u look at things our wood burner suffered terminal damage in the feb earthquakes but EQC are in the process of fitting a new one. nice and warm just in time for winter I hope.
