What's become of this group? Has it disintegrated? Seems to be the only one in my part of the world - except it isn't.

Hello tis.

Sine and I meet every week because we both work at the Auckland Zoo.

I don't have time for get togethers now, sadly. Far too busy with sailing, painting and working razz

Hi Tis
Are you interested in meeting others in South of Ak. Most of outings etc seem to now get posted on Franklin Friends however many of us also belong to Sth East group. We have members coming quite a long way to some events We meet a Manurewa Cossie Club for a meal quite often & take trips into city that may suit you. Would love to have you join us.razz

HI Gaby one,
Sorry I missed seeing your reply. What's a Cossie Club? Not a place where you meet in your Cossie's I hope. Not in this weather!! I did take a look at the Franklin posts a while back and they seemed to be a bit of a distance away. I'll have another look. Manurewa isn't too far. I'm in the Botany area.

Hi Tis and Justme there is a lunch planned for the 20th May at Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club, Alfriston Rd. at 11.30am. We will need to be signed in by a member so post on here if you are intending to come and we will look out for you. It would be great to see some new faces.

Hi everyone, No trouble getting signed in, I will be there usually aroung 11.30. If you are a member of another chartered club you can sign in under that. Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club is very used to us tunring up anyway, so there are no problems. Hope to see you all this Sunday Cheers Rojam

Oh drat!! I would like to have come and met you all and thanks for the invitation but I have the grand-children this week-end and don't take them back home until about 4.00pm Sunday so I won't be able to make it this time.

Just a wee note to say that children are welcome at the club half priced lunches are available for them. I know you may not be able to relax so much with children there, so this is just to add to the general knoledge of how this club works. It would pay to bring something for them to do though. But I also realise it is good just to get out without responsibilities. Still there is always next month. We try to meet once a month at this venue for those who are working.
