Hi there Gayebelle good to see you back. Yes they sure are having a terrible time in Vic as well, first fires then floods.Friends of ours have family in one of the areas,, so will catchup about them tonight when we see them.. Its really sad what people are going through.

Have been thinking about you down South there as well with so much rain etc...Its good to know you are ok and back on board again..

Stay close and take care

Cheers Kai

We haven't had a lot of rain so much Kai, but when we have a south-east it is light and steady for a few days and seems to build the waterr up. It's cleared now, and turned to mud.
In gumboots putting out some sheets on the line, and three dogs tearing around spraying mud everywhere. The sheets were worse than before I washed them. So they are in the washing machine again. wink
A lot of overcast days, which is depressing, but a little sun is trying to show.
New lambs about, and the spring bulbs are flowering so Spring is coming. smile

The earth still has a 'rumbly gut' Dr L.?

The Southland councils' have offered blankets to anyone in need in ChCh, but the Red Cross have plenty apparently.
So they have decided to offer distressed families a break away from the shaky zone, and putting on trains to bring them South for a few days and be billetted with folk here. The friendly south are only too willing. wink

My sis told me something she heard on the radio.

A lady said when the quake hit, her power went out. She knew where her touch was but when she looked for it, it had moved in the quake. Then she had a good idea - she went out side and got her solar powered light from the garden. That was bright enough to light up the room. Since then she has bought some additional ones. Got them near the door all getting charged up ready just in case..
