I'm all p*****ed off because no-one missed me, but worse than that, silverfern will have to go and wash her mouth out. Telling you all that we had only one (did she say degrogatory) remark to say about someone.
All I can say in retalliation is that I stopped breaking in horses many years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what she and her sister thought of me, but I found them to be two lovely ladies. Mary has invited us to call on her for a coffee when we are going through Gisborne on our way to Napier in February.
That will be a nice break for us on our long trip.
We have book to go to see the dancing white stallions. VIP seats I might add, front row. And when I booked a motel that is pet friendly, he had only two unilts left. Only a studio unit, so might be a bit cramped for two of us and a dog.
Amazingly, these certain motels allow dogs in the motels, in fact the rule where we were in Hamilton was that the dog MUST spend the night IN THE UNIT.
Crakka had never been in motel before, so spent the first half hour or so sniffing out where all the other dogs had been, and we spent every minute of that time watching that he didn't cock his leg to mark his territory.
Fortunately he is far too well brought up to disgrace himself in that way, but we weren't sure. We had a friend who had a dog that ALWAYS marked it territory in our house until I banished it. It meant the end of what might have been a beautiful friendship, but who cares. There were people with no dogs to piddle on our furniture, so we made do with them!!!!!!!!!!
We travelled home today, in good weather after it absolutely P*****ed down yesterday as we were leaving the show, so we booked out a night early, which meant that the scarf/shawl that I paid (hide your eyes) $175 for, really only cost me $60. (I have a wierd way of doing accounting).
Also bought another pair of shoes, red ones this time, and SO comfortable, and Collie bought two shirts, and a jerkin/pullover, and a pair of black shoes that were even dearer than my red ones, so the credit card is going to be looking forlorn again this month.
Oh well, another SKI trip. (Spending Kids Inheritance) trip.
Experienced bought indian curry, and loved it, especially the chicken and mango that I had today. Next time I will get a bowl of the sauce and rice, and no meat. Too large a serving for a lunchtime, and the sauce was Sooooooo yummy. Not too hot. Collie had butter chicken, and that was nice too.
How adventurous we are geting in our old age. At one time it would have been a muffin and cup of coffee. $9 for lunch each, so toast and marmalade for tea.
We feel so wicked spending all this money after all the years of scrimping, but our kids will squander it, so we'll do that for them. he he he.
Came home to find the Eastern Bay of Plenty had been badly hit by wet weather again, and one road had just opened. They had been diverting through a dreadful - but only available road - all day, and there were two pohutukawa trees in the middle of the road that had come down. A slip at
Whakatane has blocked one lane for weeks, and how they will ever fix that is anyone's guess, it's still raining debris, and it looks as though it's coming from several hndred feet up. Far too far to get machinery up there to clear it.
Well, a couple of sleeping pills an hour or so ago, followed just now by a coffee does not sound like a good combination, but I felt like I wanted that coffee. Don't have to be up early - only in time for bowls at 1.00pm if it's fine.
Rang Aggie tonight, they seem to be surviving. I wish I lived closer and could offer them accommodation. Even if it was in our bus, which although sold, is still here, and could be used.
Goodnight all, take care

Annie

Now, now, AP....you know there was only one we pulled to pieces and let everyone guess who it wasrazzrazzrazzrazz
Not only did we know who we were as soon as we met, I think we both felt as though we had known each other for ever. The scarf she bought is absolutely beautiful (photo please AP). Not having a kids inheritance I only bought a new knitting work basket.

Ansy Pansy is discovering the good life, at last. Pity the darn weather won't co-operate, though. The earth is weeping buckets these days. I can understand why ancient civilisations sacrificed a few sacred cows along with women and children when times got tough. Keep your eyes on those males for signs of weather madness. rolleyesrolleyes

When I opened up my computer last night I had 141 emails. A lot of them (about 40 or so it seemed) were from this thread, so I read and deleted all of those and the persosnal ones from this one and that, and there have been only three more on here, so where on earth have the rest come from. I opened up this morning and it told me I had 125 emails.
Silverfern, I will NEVER divulge on here who we pulled to pieces, although if there had been more than two grownups members at our meeting, there would have been a lot more in complete agreement with us, and to ease all your fears, we really thing that nearly everyone on here is fantastically fabulistically, wonderful, and we love almost every one of you. The one we dont love is probably such a narcissist that our love is not needed.
Joybel, I have actually RE discovered the good life, and most of it can be attributed to a reasonably large brown capsule that come out of a bottle labelled coenzyme q10. This has given me back my life. I've only been taking it a litle over a week. the iinstructions said one or two a day, so altough I thought I probably needed four a day, I stuck to the two a day, and no doubt just as well, or I would be flying off the planet, as Silverfern will attest. I have become very much a motormouth, I have so much zest for living at the moment that I am even willingly going to the opening of bowls today.biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin Only the thought that I have to wear whites is offputting. crycrycrycrycrycrycrycry
Fortuntely our Bay colours are any combination of black and white, so there will be a wee sign of white, though most of my clothing will be black.
If they insist I have not enough white showing, I will offer to strip down to my knickers and camisole, rolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyes and that will shock them into allowing me to play in mainly black. Or I'll pack a shitty and not play at all SO THERE!!!madmadmadmadmadmadmad

Ocker, I'm nearly always the lead, because I've only had two years at outdoor bowls. The fact that I was a skip at indoor, and read a head better than a lot of the three's makes no difference. It's sometimes frustrating, but then again, I can sit on my little seat that I put at each end of the green, and watch the rest of them bugger up the head that I've built for them, and say nowt, or sometimes groan to myself, but that's life. One woman has just been promoted to a two, after playing for 7 years, but in my two years I have actually attended more bowls days than she has in seven, so who, really, deserves to be promoted. When someone threatens to resign if they don't get promoted, then they get promoted, even though they are so ignorant they don't realise that Drakes Pride and Taylor bowls are made by different companies!!!!!!!!!!!!!lollollollollollollol

I like the sound of that little brown pill, A.P. Not my favourite color mind you. but I could make concessions if it cranks up the cylinders. Time for a shower and face the world again. I will have a peep outside later. Might take a bus to Erewhon after lunch for a change of scene.lol

That's wrong with me , Ocker, no foundation - garment I mean - let it all hang out is my philosophy, and although Silverfern would be far to circumspect, she would privately agree that I have plenty to hang out.
Oh well, I'm cudddly, and so is she, incidentally,(but not as much as me) and also a wee bit more vertically challenged than I am, but not by much.
I tell ya what, Ruebens ( I know the spelling's not quite right) woulda loved me. razzrazzrazzrazzrazzrazzrazzrazzrazz

It'd have ta be an 'eadless one, so no-one knew who the body belonged to.
You're a naughty boy.
There are many a hill and dale, not much vegetation as I am not of the hirsuite (sp again) variety.
How about I sent ya one of me on a horse for the last time, and ya used yer imagination a bit, took me clothes off, and made me a Lady Godiva. Could even give me the long golden locks as I once had
