We are having liquerice allsorts this morning, down here in the south. We have had sun, wind, now all calm and cloudy, with rain possibly to come. smile
My view is a new foal pony nextdoor, and fat lambs across the way on the farms, that may end up as Christmas dinners. wink

It has been as silent as the grave here today. Four of my closest neighbours are away and I have not ventured out the front door in case I discover I am all alone. There is life across the road I can see out the window. However the cricket kept me happy until Pakistan went in to bat and there is no excitement whatsoever now. Have played a few CDs and pulled some weeds. Ho Hum The 39 Steps is on tonight. I read that so long ago and it keeps turning up as a quiz question, so I can still remember it. That sums up my day.lollol

I love the early rising these days when the world is still and not a leaf is moving. The traffic and car fumes are in the garage and I sit out side with my pills and a cup of tea. A wander around my little garden and stop to tell a flower how beautiful it is. Not a bird in sight. Early rising is the best medicine for contemplating and enjoying the little hour of peace. Some clouds are arriving. Could it be the dreaded storm Jim has promised us?

I am not an early riser, but when I do, I agree Joybel, great time of the day. I usually get up, make a coffee, take the paper back to bed. Pull the curtains aside and let the sun stream in, small luxuries you cannot beat. wink
My 'time' is at dusk, after glorious sunsets, the shadows of the trees form into silohuettes (sp) against the sky, that's what I like. smile

Today there is sun in between, colder sou-west showers, lower temps and hail to come. neutral
My husband's 70th birthday today, but he doesn't like fuss, so must go and find a nice dessert to make.

Mona, always knew you were a 'winner.' wink

Patchy cloud/sun, humid, light breeze.
Flattened all my cardboard boxes and egg cartons for the recycle man. Gave rubbish bag to neighbour who had run out.
Just about to assemble fake Christmas tree and adorn it with tinsel, lights, etc. I'd like to have a real one, but it is a hassle for me to get rid of it afterwards.
