Sad and shameful.
Now, we just have to hope the worse case scenarios don't come to pass.

Benny
ithink you are confused.
ypu keep saying Labour sold the railways but according to wikipedia
"NZRL was sold for NZ$400 million to a consortium of Wisconsin Central Railway (40%), Berkshire Partners (20%) and Fay, Richwhite & Company (40%) in 1993. The company was renamed Tranz Rail in 1995, with urban passenger trains rebranded Tranz Metro, long-distance passenger Tranz Scenic, and freight Tranz Link. Tranz Rail was purchased by Toll Holdings in 2004 and renamed Toll NZ."
wasnm't national in power in 1993

We survived asset sales before so I guess we will pay up and just whinge about it. The less in Govt. control has to be better and cheaper in the long run. Why would one buy into a scheme where a Govt. holds 51%, Anything Govt. owns rarely makes a profit.Too much backscratching going on for honest dealing.

You aren't wrong about Benny being confused but then there is nothing new in that. He is constantly making incorrect statements.
I doubt you will get a factual answer either. But if he swears at you you know you are right and he is wrong.

Hero42,Photoqueen, & KC, You are all correct and his abuse extends to labelling ALL who disagree with him LABOUR CLUB which we are not in any way shape or form. What I like on this thread is independent discussion and agreeing to disagree with each other in the true spirit of Grownups which Dave tells us is the" GROWNUPS WAY." Benny ignores Grownups rules choosing to namecall. I am constantly referred to with illustrious titles like" Il Presidentio "I don,t know how he found out my title. heheh.
Desi loves being called the First Lady But we don,t stand on ceremony. There will be no bowing or kissing of rings etc. We are GROWNUPS and Its" The Grownups Way.'"Best wishes to you All. We have just come in after collecting some more Assets Petition signatures @ our local supermarket.

We have been going through our old records of the business and when we were shredding them it was interesting to note that on some of the documents was DR. this gave me an idea that as this was the abreviation for Debtor I was astounded that a person would use this as part of a non de plume, but then it takes all sorts, does it not?
